Senior Speech Language Pathologist

 Diena passionately believes in delivering speech pathology services which are high quality, holistic, integrated and comprehensive. The Speech Pathology Practice is directed by Diena with a focus on functional, dynamic and results focussed therapy. With over 30 years of clinical experience across metropolitan, regional and rural areas, including public and private hospitals, non-government organisations, private practice, Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service, Brain Injury Services, Aged Care facilities, universities, and recently Northern NSW Local Health District. Within the field of speech pathology Diena has experience in roles such as consultant, lecturer, manager, governing council member, allied health manager, supervisor of both clinicians and students.
Diena is a respected senior clinician.
Diena’s special interest areas include
-Paediatric Autism, ASD, ADHD, behavioural issues and therapy for speech, language and cognitive disorders.
-Adult Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Brain Injury and Stroke rehabilitation, Parkinson’s Disease, Dementia and associated Cognitive disorders and therapy.
-Neuroplasticity and applications in rehabilitation.
-Music therapy and applications in communication and rehabilitation.
In addition to a Bachelor in Speech Therapy, Diena holds a Masters in Health Services Management, Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice and is currently enrolled in a Doctorate Program in Neuroplasticity at Griffith University.
